I want to address the City Council for 2 minutes.
My name is Midori Krieger. I live at 515 Nevada Court. I believe access to medical care is a need like food, water, and housing. We have had 555K Covid related deaths nationwide, 6,875 in MN, and 99 in Rice County to date. According to the CDC, we have lost 1 year of life expectancy between Jan & June of 2020 (2 years for Hispanics and 3 years for Black people). This points to inequity in social determinates for health, including health care access. What are we as a city going to do to address disparities in health care access?
