I am strongly in favor of the Council approving the TIF request from Three Rivers. When completed, this project will provide much needed affordable housing in Northfield and it fits directly into the Council's own strategic plan which calls for more affordable units within the city. The Northfield HRA has wholeheartedly supported this project from the beginning and has had a great partnership with Three Rivers in the past with Spring Creek I. Three Rivers Action has put in great work and effort to receive the federal and state funding required to put the Spring Creek II townhomes very close to reality. I urge the Council to approve the TIF to clear one of the final hurdles in making this project happen.
