We strongly oppose the recommendation to close the pool for the summer, and ask that the Council consider the following:
    1) Delay the decision until the next Governor update to have the best information, or choose a delayed or restricted opening tonight subject to State regulations and guidelines.
    2) More strongly consider the public benefit, which can be accomplished safety with a creative schedule and safety measures
    3) Especially at this time, increasing the net expenses from $94K to $124K or $148K could go along ways to bringing smiles back to the kids who have already lost so much this year. Early morning swim practices could be done safely and developing different schedules and spacing guidelines are a feasible option that should be considered.

    Thank you

Please do not make a decision to close the pool until the governor’s next announcement. We have lost so much for this summer, and there is research that proves that COVID19 is not transmitted in water. There are many swim organizations and clubs looking at ways to hold swim practices. Please wait to decide.

Please, consider running the pool on a modified schedule, and not closing completely.

We will pay an admission fee each time to use the pool instead of an annual pass.

Please do this for your citizens, who have lost so much.
    Thank you.
