The final design plans show a handicapped parking spot on the South side of 7th St. nearby Witt Bros. The approved design showed three parking spaces there. I would suggest that you change back to 3 spaces because this zone requires business to provide off street parking, including handicapped parking spaces. Why would a customer choose to park in the street when they can park right next to the front door of the business. I believe that Witt Bros were in contact with David Bennett and had offered to designate a handicap spot in their lot by the front door. This seems like a much better idea. All of the other businesses in the area already have designated handicap parking spots, so there is no need for one in the street. If law requires a spot, I would suggest the very first spot on the North side of 7th St just to the East of the newly located Econofoods entrance, which makes good sense. This would also allow us a little additional truck turning room for our semi trucks.
