Resolution 2024-131 is on the consent agenda. There is no information attached. Who is TSP? Who selected TSP? How many other firms were interviewed? Why were they selected over the other firms? What is the amount of the Contract? When will the Council be given this information so they know what they are consenting too? eComment closes in 15 minutes yet no information.
    Is this considered transparency?

During the council's latest discussion of the plan to build a municipal water treatment plant, I listened with interest to the impassioned statements of several council members that their commitment to the project was based on "unequivocal" public health research. It would be helpful if you would cite your sources, but I'll agree for the moment that that is a reasonable concern. Since it was stated that this problem has been known since at least 2019, why has there been no public health warning?

Beyond the water issue, I am puzzled that the same logic does not apply to an expanded liquor store. The research on the adverse health effects of alcohol have long been known. Surely your deep concern for public health would lead you to conclude that while adults are free to purchase and consume a legal product, municipal government should not be in the business of directly selling it.

It would be very helpful if you would publicly discuss these inconsistencies.
