I have lived adjacent to this property as a homeowner for 9 years. I am opposed to this plan for all of the units to be used as RENTAL units, as this proposed area is not large enough to accommodate parking for rental units. In our townhouses which are 80 % owner occupied the 4 rental units have multiple vehicles that park on the fire lanes as the driveways do not accommodate spaces to park.
What will be the rental fees? If rent is too high the concern is that multiple families will move into one unit.
The setback to the property line on the south side is not deep enough.
I am concerned that they may remove the pine trees on the south border and we will loose our privacy.
I would have fewer concerns if these units were owner occupied as homeowners take better care of their property.
We reside at 714 Aldrich Drive which is a property that abuts the proposed Maple Place Addition. Residents of Aldrich Drive and Lake Drive currently have a privacy line of mature evergreen trees as well as several hardwood trees. The proposed landscaping design for the development appears to include the removal of the majority of these trees thus eliminating the privacy lines for Aldrich and Lake Drives. While some of the seedlings and undesirable plants can certainly be removed, we are requesting that the mature trees be allowed to remain. If they are all cut down any replacement trees will take years to grow large enough to provide any privacy. Larry and Charlene Witherell
